“They are so damn ‘intellectual’ and rotten that I can’t stand them anymore….I [would] rather sit on the floor in the market of Toluca and sell tortillas, than have anything to do with those ‘artistic’ bitches of Paris.” — Frida Kahlo

Squats around the world
Villa Amalia is the common name of the building that hosted the former 2nd High School of Athens in Greece. It is located in the corner of Acharnon and Heiden streets. It was an anarchist squat, active since 1990. The squatters were very active in the area, hosting demonstrations, DIY concerts and a lot of other events. The building was partly destroyed on the front, after a fire set by fascists at March 2008.Just 30 hours after the fire was put out, a new fascist attack took place, setting fire to the building once again. After a raid in December 2012, the squatters were evicted.Only 20 days after its eviction,a group of 80 squatters re-occupied the building.

I love sitting in a train. Sure, you can listen to music everywhere but in a train … I don’t know. The way the nature passes and the thoughts begin to flow without even knowing it … it’s something really special. And I love the feeling. Sometimes I think there’s nothing better than sitting in a train and doing nothing but listen to some really good music that breaks your heart.
